Paul Schroeder grew up in the town of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, about 30 minutes outside of Milwaukee. As a teenager he attended Northwestern Prep School in Watertown about 12 miles away from home. He graduated in 1987 and attended Northwestern College, located on the same campus, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1991. After college he studied at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon Wisconsin and graduated with a Masters of Divinity in 1995.
The first 15 years of his ministry were served in Wisconsin at a small church in the town of Rock Springs. In December of 2010 King of Kings called him to serve in Apache Junction with a focus on outreach.
Pastor is married and has two children. Pastor met his wife, Julie, who lived in Texas at the time, but was also attending the same Prep School in Watertown. Their son Everett is 27 and lives in Atlanta with his wife, Mariah and their son, Ian. While Mariah teaches at our Lutheran Elementary School at Sola Fide in Lawrenceville , Everett works in commercial construction. Their daughter Maddie is 23. She is the Early Childhood director at Zion Evangelical Lutheran School in Denver and her husband, Christian, teaches 3rd - 5th grade at Zion. Christian is in the Principle Apprentice Program as well.
Pastor’s interests include sports, music and art. He enjoys playing golf in Arizona and would love to explore and enjoy the beauty of the Southwest.
